One star from me. These guys don’t keep any parts in stock. Since my issues have been electrical, they’re only replacing things in phases. This has caused my family and I to live in a hot house for way too long. There are 330 houses in my neighborhood with the same unit, they can’t keep a damn compressor in stock? I had an amazing experience with Engineered Air! From start to finish, their service was professional, fast, and reliable. I want to give a special shoutout to Mike from Boston (New England)—his knowledge, honesty, and dedication stood out right away. He took the time to explain everything about my AC issue and made sure the job was done perfectly. It’s hard to find trustworthy people these days, but Mike truly goes above and beyond. I’m writing this because of the completely unprofessional service I got from Engineered Air. They installed my AC in 2019. By 2024, it stopped cooling—still under the 5-year warranty. I called them, they sent a tech who added freon and admitted there was a leak, but said it was “too small to find,” so they didn’t fix it. Fast forward to March 2025, and the AC is leaking again—this time both freon and water. This is after regular maintenance. I called, frustrated, because this should’ve been fixed the first time. I have a maintenance contract with this company, and my next appointment is scheduled soon. I haven’t had any issues with them until recently. Over the past few days, no one from any department has answered the phone—calls go straight to a recorded message, and when you leave a voicemail, no one returns the call. I was able to reach one of their technicians through a personal number I had, and he informed me that the company is out of business. I’m extremely disappointed with the way things were handled today. Given the weather and circumstances, I understand there may have been challenges, but the lack of timely communication was completely unacceptable. Had I been informed earlier, I could have made alternative arrangements — but being notified at the last minute left me stranded and frustrated.
